With the EC-Bell we take a new approach to the communication between caregivers and their patients.
It will allow for ideal matchmaking between the requests and staff, making sure that no request is being misplaced. In addition it will reduce idle time in a high-performance work environment, build a foundation for a more efficient workflow and allowing for a better usage of resources.

Our tablet-based approach allows for a customisable interface that the staff members can adjust depending on the patients affinity for newer technologies and mental state. That way a more fit patient can state the request via a pictogram based interface. While a less fit patient can state the request via a more simplified interface. No matter how the nursing staff configures the interface, the patient always has the opportunity to get a video chat connection with the coordinator.

Dashboard


The EC-Bell Dashboard operated by the coordinator sits at the heart of the EC-Bell communication eco-system. It receives all the requests sent via pictogram. The Dashboard is completed by the ability to receive video chat request allowing the coordinator to hear and see what the patient needs and if everything is alright. Upon the patient’s arrival the Dashboard has the functionality to remotely configure the tablet’s interface to suit the patients capabilities.

Staff members on duty receive the request from their patients via the EC-Bell Listener. That way nurses can keep an overview of the request sent by their patients and prioritise where to go first. Completing the functionalities is the customisable visual layout, choose between different ringtones and many more to come.
